What to expect?

This is a special day long experience which invites you to immerse yourself in the magic of nature, your voice and what happens when you lift your voice in song with others.

The day will be slow paced, allowing us to move into Spring as nourished and grounded as possible. We will sing songs together - some of my own, and some of other song writers. Weather permitting, we will spend time outside singing and exploring the beautiful grounds of Michael Hall and explore our voice in safe, fun and collaborative ways.

The goal is simple: to give ourselves and the group permission to play, explore, and create. This will happen through connection: connecting to our voices, our bodies, each other, and the plants around us. The intention is to facilitate meaningful experiences, meeting each participant exactly where they are.

By the end of the day, you will have many a song relating to the natural world in your pocket. You will have a new appreciation and deeper relationship with yourself, the natural world and your voice and hopefully you will go back out to the world wanting to share your voice more!

Rough structure of the day

Arrivals will be from 9:30am where you can come and settle into the space. We will then gather together and begin by warming up our bodies and voices. During the day we will; sing songs that celebrate our natural world, connect us to ourselves, and connect us to the non-human world. There will be plenty of cups of tea, space to breathe and some exploration of vocal improvisation - please note that there is always choice - no exercise is compulsory!

We will have lunch together - I will make a big soup for everyone and bread, and participants are encouraged to bring food to share.

If the weather is good we will explore the gardens and grounds of Michael Hall too. There will be plenty of space for reflection, reverence and fun!

This workshop is for you if…

  • you want to sing with a lovely bunch of people for a few hours on a Saturday

  • you’re curious to connect with your voice and the natural world in playful, wondrous ways.

  • you want to let go of some self-judgment around singing and explore intuitive ways to connect with your voice, letting it flow freely and naturally.

  • you need more magic and play in your life!

  • you want to reset before Spring sets in!

Testimonials from past participants of Hannah’s courses

“Hannah leads her singing sessions with comfort and calm. She creates a secure environment where everyone is valued and engaged. The songs we sing are skillfully and gently taught by Hannah enabling all to join in and enjoy the experience of singing together. Everyone leaves the session feeling supported and filled with positivity. Additionally, Hannah shares her own experiences and expertise and welcomes everyone to be themselves and to share feelings whilst being nourished with plenty of tea and cake.” Helen Byard, 2024

“Singing in the garden with Hannah is such a highlight of our week. The sessions are always so nourishing, grounding and joyful and I come away feeling replenished and ready to face the week ahead! Even my slow-to-warm 6 year old will join in and sing her heart out- testament to the beautiful safe singing space Hannah holds!" Aisha Heinen, 2025

“I return home with so many gifts. Very practical ones, but also others not so obvious. I have come closer to being in tune with my heart” Marina, Rekindling Abundance week long journey, 2023
